This week Amitai and Katie-Ellen huddle up for a sweet episode brought to you by the laidback vibe of Vancouver Island. This week, we talk delusion.
de·lu·sion /dəˈlo͞oZHən/
noun
An idiosyncratic belief or impression that is firmly maintained despite being contradicted by what is generally accepted as reality or rational argument, typically a symptom of mental disorder.
Okay. But in terms of "symptom of mental disorder"...it can be pretty sweet, no?
Katie-Ellen makes the argument FOR delusion. Now, if your delusion is that you can stop a moving train and you wanna act on it, that's not really in anyone's best interest. But if you have a benign delusion that helps you get through the day, what else are we really doing here?
Do you have a precious delusion that helps you out?
Katie shared on the pod that if there was a blog this week we would try to feature a video of someone who tried to eat a live octopus getting absolutely rocked by said octopus. Truthfully, Katie can't stomach the search/isn't prepared to wade into "eating live octopus videos," so we can all use our imaginations to picture that sweet and necessary vengeance. In place of that promised video, here is a beautiful picture of an octopus to admire.
Horny For
This week Amitai is horny for "gross" food. Get into it.
Katie-Ellen is horny for the nostalgic beauty of a root beer popsicle.
